On SIP trunks, have the ability to Burst to an additional line or lines
Here's how bursting works with Sip Trunks. Customer has three SIP trunks and that month they get busy and recieve 4 or 5 calls at the same time. You would allow the two extra calls to come in but charge the customer a bursting fee per Call Path. We are a dealer for Coredial as well, through their system. we can select how many calls can burst. we set for zero if they want no bursting or 1,2, 3, etc. for more. On the billing side, Viibe would see that they bursted for that month and add the charge at we set. feel free to contact me with more info. thanks

Does it not work this way? We had an issue a few months ago wherein a routing issue occured, and when dialing out we encountered failures. Each failure would result in a simultaneous attempt at dialing out, which caused us to be charged for 118 SIP Trunks for that month. I figured this was basically bursting happening, but due to misconfiguration not lines being in use. On your currently configured system, what are you seeing when the PBX tries to pull another line? I think part of your suggestion is related to Netsapiens having a cap you can set for burstable trunk count, and then the second part is getting Viibe to pick this up and bill it automatically. Is that right?
